FRP for Water & Wastewater
Clarifiers, covers, internals, tanks and piping that never rust — for municipal, mining and industrial plants.
Crimar supplies FRP clarifiers, covers, tanks, troughs, weirs, feedwells, biofilters and piping to municipal, mining and industrial water-treatment plants — for clients including GE Water, Siemens/US Filter, WesTech, Biorem, Walsh Construction and Ferguson Waterworks.
The challenge
Water and wastewater plants deal with hydrogen sulfide, chlorine, treatment chemistry and constant moisture. Odor containment is critical, clear-span covers must seal aggressive tanks, and clarifier internals have to hold precise geometry while resisting corrosion for decades.
How Crimar helps
FRP eliminates corrosion, controls odor with sealed clear-span covers, and delivers precise internals — feedwells, troughs and weirs — at a lifecycle cost metal can’t match. We can also apply FRP liners to existing steel and concrete tanks to extend their life.
What we supply
Materials & construction
Water-treatment FRP is built with vinyl ester and isophthalic polyester matched to H₂S, chlorine and process chemistry. Field-applied FRP liners rehabilitate existing steel and concrete basins without full replacement.
Standards
- ASTM D3299 / D4097
- ASME RTP-1 (enclosed vessels)
- Load-rated covers to project specification
